What is included in the report and video?
Steven is a Texas licensed Master Plumber. His narration explains what the camera shows, and the written report brings the findings together in a form you can review after the appointment.
- The accessible areas inspected and any inspection limitations.
- Observed sewer conditions and identified concerns.
- HD inspection video links with Steven’s narration.
- Recommendations based on the findings, including areas considered serviceable at the time and areas needing attention.
The purpose is to help you understand the inspected sewer system. An older pipe does not automatically mean our recommendation will be replacement. Recommendations depend on the condition observed during the inspection.
What should you confirm before accepting a quote?
Use the same questions with each company so you can compare the service being offered:
- Which portions of the system are included? Ask about the accessible main line, under-house lines, and any areas outside the quoted scope.
- What access is needed? Tell the company if you do not know where the cleanout is, if access is obstructed, or if the property has special access arrangements.
- Will you receive recorded video and a written report? Confirm who explains the findings and how you receive the files.
- Is locating included when needed? Confirm the scope and price of any additional locating or testing before it is performed.
- What happens if the inspection cannot be completed? Ask how limitations and any further work will be documented.
- When will the report be available? Confirm timing if a purchase decision depends on it.
For agents arranging an inspection for a buyer
Share the property address, inspection deadline, access contact, and any known sewer concerns. Coordinate permission to enter the property with the owner or listing agent. Check appointment availability and share your transaction deadline when scheduling.
A buyer’s home inspection and a sewer camera inspection may have different scopes. TREC’s published minimum standards do not require cameras to inspect the interior of drain or sewer lines, though qualified inspectors may offer services beyond those minimums. Is pressure testing included in the camera inspection?
The $100 add-on includes branch-line inspection, pressure testing of the main lateral lines, a water-line pressure test, and observation of all visible lines. Tell us about access restrictions and confirm the total quote when booking.
Your written report and narrated inspection videos are prepared, uploaded, and delivered the same day as your inspection.
What if repairs are recommended?
We explain the finding and can provide a repair estimate. Review the recommended work alongside the report and narrated footage. If part of the system could not be inspected, ask what additional evaluation is needed before making a repair decision.
For a home purchase, you and your agent can use the documented findings in your discussions. An inspection does not promise a seller credit, a particular negotiation result, or future pipe performance.
How long should you reserve?
Our online sewer inspection appointment reserves 90 minutes. Actual inspection time varies with the property and access. Contact us before scheduling commercial work or additional testing so we can confirm the appointment requirements.
